Dear Residents,
I don’t know about all of you, but I definitely enjoyed that little preview of spring we got this week, even if it only stuck around for a few days!
It’s been an exciting week as local leaders gathered for the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce State of the Greater Barrington Area Economic Summit. I had the opportunity to share key accomplishments for South Barrington in 2025 and highlight what’s on the horizon for us in 2026.
It’s always inspiring to hear what our neighboring communities are working on and to explore how we can continue collaborating and supporting one another.
Be sure to check next week’s newsletter for a summary of these 2025 accomplishments and more details about our plans for 2026.

Weight Limit Signs Posted
New temporary weight limit signs have been placed throughout the Village to help protect our roads during the freeze–thaw cycles we’re currently experiencing.
If you’re in the middle of a home renovation or construction project, please note that this may impact deliveries involving large truckloads of materials during this time. We encourage residents and contractors to plan ahead and coordinate deliveries accordingly to avoid delays or complications.
These measures are important to maintain the integrity of our roadways and prevent costly damage. The weight limit restrictions will be removed once we’re through the winter weather conditions.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us take care of our community roads!

Meet Pastor Duane Calvin, Willow Creek Church
Last Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Pastor Duane to the Village of South Barrington. Pastor Duane is the new “dedicated to South Barrington” Pastor for Willow Creek Community Church. It was both enlightening and wonderful to learn more about him, his family, and their journey to South Barrington. He was joined by Associate Campus Pastor & Lead Groups Pastor Stephanie, and we truly appreciated the opportunity to connect.
Willow Creek Community Church continues to be a strong presence in our community, and we look forward to continued partnership and collaboration in the years ahead.
As a reminder, located behind Village Hall near the Police Department, we have a Care Center Drop Box where residents can donate gently used clothing, toys, books, and other items to support those in need. Thank you for helping us care for our community!

Welcome AVU Skin!
On Tuesday, we welcomed AVU Collective, located at 6 Executive Court, into South Barrington! AVU Collective is a boutique wellness and aesthetics studio offering a range of services focused on beauty, self-care, and overall confidence. From advanced skincare treatments and injectables to personalized wellness solutions, AVU Collective is dedicated to helping clients look and feel their very best in a comfortable, modern setting.
We’re excited to have AVU Collective join our local business community and look forward to supporting their continued success here in South Barrington!
