Village Clerk's Office

The Village Clerk acts as custodian of the Village seal and keeper of the records for the Village of South Barrington. The responsibilities of the Village Clerk are numerous and defined by state and local statutes. The Village Clerk serves as the local election official for Cook County and as the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Officer for the Village of South Barrington. Responsibilities includes, but are not limited to, record keeping, transcribing of official Board minutes, issuing of notices for regular and special Board meetings, and the publication of Village Ordinances.

The Village Clerk’s office offers a variety of services to South Barrington residents which include Notary Public Service, voter registration, issuance of Animal Licenses, processing of FOIA requests, and providing election information and materials such as absentee ballot applications.
