Nature Centers
Stillman Nature Center is a private non-profit center for environmental education located on 80 acres of woods, lake and prairie in South Barrington. Still nature Center is home to a variety of habitats offering good, cover and nesting for wild animals. Stillman is also home to a number of Birds of Prey that are not able to be released into the wild due to injury or other reasons. Stillman holds a number of education programs throughout the year and is open to the public on Sundays. Please visit their website for more information.

Forest Preserves
Paul Douglas Forest Preserve is not located in South Barrington but is in neighboring Hoffman Estates. This site offers a variety of recreational activities such as bird watching, bike and jogging paths and picnic areas.
