South Barrington PD Announces St. Patrick’s Day Enforcement Results

South Barrington, IL – The South Barrington Police Department today announced it made one DUI arrest,  and issued  twenty distracted driving, two speeding and two seatbelt citations during the recent St. Patrick’s Day enforcement campaign. Nineteen other citations were also written during the campaign. Enforcement focused on impaired driving involving alcohol, cannabis and other drugs.

The St. Patrick’s weekend “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” enforcement effort ran from Friday, Mar. 13, through the early morning hours of Monday, Mar. 23. The goal was to keep impaired drivers off the roads and ensure more people buckle up and follow all traffic laws.

The law enforcement campaign was made possible by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
