BACOG Water Testing Event
I would like to thank everyone who attended the BACOG Water Testing event, which was a tremendous success. Great to see our residents taking extra steps to ensure safe water in their homes.
Thank you again to everyone who participated.

Emergency Notification System Changes
The way we communicate with residents during emergencies is changing. We are in the process of transitioning to a new Emergency Notification system to allow us to stay with our current dispatch provider. As a result, CodeRed Notifications will no longer be used after November 1st.
During this transition period, we encourage all residents to follow us on Facebook, which will serve as our platform for quick mass updates and important announcements.
(Click here for our Facebook page)
Once the new system is in place, all residents will be required to re-enroll with the new program. We will share clear, step-by-step instructions to make the enrollment process as quick and simple as possible.
Thank you for your patience as we work to improve our communication tools for the community.
Tree Maintenance Notice
We appreciate your help in identifying parkway trees that may need attention. If you notice trees with low-hanging branches or trees that appear to be in poor condition, please let us know. Both trimming needs and potential removals due to health concerns will be reviewed as we move forward with scheduled tree work later this year.
To report a tree, please contact Ryan Murphy at 847-381-7510 or email rmurphy@southbarrington.org.
Thank you for your continued support in keeping our community well-maintained!
Halloween at the Arb: A Kid-Friendly Experience
Duchess Manor is not for the faint of heart and might be too much for younger children, which is why this year, there is a kid-friendly option dubbed the “Hardly” Haunted House.
Families are invited to join a Kids Lights-On Tour every Sunday from now through November 2nd, between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. The experience is kept bright and cheerful, with the lights on and no actors present, just a safe, festive way for children to get into the Halloween spirit.
️ Tickets are only $5 per person and can be purchased here.

Welcome Our New Team Member
The South Barrington Police Department has a new member of the team.
Chief Garrison and I are pleased to introduce Joshua Ocampo as the newest member of our team. Joshua has a degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology and he will be serving as our second Records Clerk.

Welcome to South Barrington, Joshua Ocampo!
Hydrant Flushing
For those residents living in the municipal water service areas, please note the Village has scheduled a Hydrant flushing for the week of Oct. 27th.
The municipal water service area includes the Arboretum, Regency, The Woods, Village Enclave, and Revere Court of South Barrington. Most Village residents are served by private well and septic systems and the flushing will NOT impact their water service.
Signs will be posted in the municipal water service areas to notify residents and businesses. Hydrant flushing is a semi-annual process to check hydrant operation and flush the water lines. All of the fire hydrants within the municipal water service area will be tested. The hydrant flushing will not only verify that the hydrants are functioning properly, but it will also help to maintain good water quality.
