Dear Residents,
The warm weather coupled with the recent rainfall has accelerated the growth of weeds.
I would like to take a moment to remind everyone about the Village’s ordinance pertaining to weeds and lawn care on your property. Village codes 4-6-1 and 4-6-2 deal with vegetation.
4-6-2: HEIGHT LIMITS: states: “It shall be unlawful for anyone to permit any weeds, grass, or plants, other than trees, bushes, flowers, or other ornamental plants, to grow to a height exceeding eight inches (8″) anywhere in the village which is zoned residential….”
Please be mindful of weed growth and make sure the weeds do not exceed the maximum height. All Village codes and ordinances can be found on the Village website.
Signage for Solicitors
In the coming weeks, there may be businesses that have purchased a solicitors license coming to your door. If you do not wish to be disturbed, you will need signage posted. Simply post a sign that either says “NO SOLICITORS” or “NO TRESPASSING” and solicitors are not allowed to approach your home.
The Village does allow solicitors to purchase a solicitor’s license and be vetted. Once the business is given permission they are allowed to solicit their product or service in the Village. If you do not want solicitors, please post a sign.
Ribbon Cutting IntegriTMS
May is mental health month and on Monday, May 12th, I attended the ribbon cutting at IntegriTMS. IntegriTMS, located at 33 W. Higgins Rd. #655, has opened its clinic and is dedicated to delivering innovative, non-invasive mental health care through Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
Mental wellness is an essential part of a thriving community. For residents struggling with depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), or smoking addiction, a breakthrough treatment called Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is now available locally through IntegriTMS, right here in South Barrington.
TMS is FDA-approved, non-invasive, and medication-free, using magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain associated with mood and behavior. It is especially helpful for those who haven’t found success with traditional treatments. There is no sedation or downtime, and most patients resume normal activities immediately.
Common symptoms treated with TMS include:
- Persistent sadness or hopelessness
- Fatigue or difficulty sleeping
- Trouble concentrating
- Loss of motivation or interest
- Obsessive thoughts or repetitive behaviors
The treatment plan involves daily sessions (about 20 minutes each), five days a week for 6–8 weeks. Many begin to notice improvement as early as week two.
At IntegriTMS, each patient is personally evaluated by Dr. Gill, an experienced in-house psychiatrist, to ensure the therapy is appropriate and tailored to individual needs.
Clinical results show:
- 70% of patients experience significant relief
- 45–50% achieve complete remission
This therapy has already transformed thousands of lives across the country—restoring energy, clarity, and well-being.
IntegriTMS stands out for its compassionate care, advanced technology, and close collaboration with local healthcare providers and families. As a trusted local partner, IntegriTMS is committed to supporting the mental health of our South Barrington community.
