Dear Residents,
The South Barrington Village Board has a new member, as we welcomed Dr. Anthony Stagno at our Board meeting last night.
Dr. Stagno is replacing Edgar Alvarado who is moving to Arizona. We certainly will miss Edgar and his contributions to South Barrington. He freely gave his time on the Village board and Village Committees including the Police Pension Board. His passion for our community was self-evident, and we wish him well on his future endeavors.
We are looking forward to working with Dr. Stagno, and we welcome him to the Village Board!

Ribbon Cutting at Barrington Smiles
It’s all Smiles at Barrington Smiles’ new location in South Barrington! The one stop dental office is located at 16 Executive Court, Suite 1 in South Barrington.
Village Administrator Mike Dropka and I had the pleasure of attending the ribbon cutting and open house at Barrington Smiles. Congratulations to Barrington Smiles on their beautiful new space and commitment to serving our community!

New Library Return Location
Returning library books does not have to be an inconvenience.
The newest Barrington Area Library return location is at The Arb!
The new convenient drop-off spot is located in front of The Arb Management Office, located at building H-70.
The Barrington Public Library District serves 45,360 residents of all or part of Algonquin, Barrington, Barrington Hills, Deer Park, Fox River Grove, Hoffman Estates, Kildeer, Lake Barrington, Lake Zurich, North Barrington, Palatine, Port Barrington, South Barrington, Tower Lakes, and some unincorporated areas. It covers a 72 square mile area, making it one of the largest library districts in Illinois, geographically speaking. We appreciate all the Barrington Public Library does for our community and we thank them for their continued efforts to expand their drop-off locations.
Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC)
The proper disposal of household items is not something to be left for chance.
Thankfully, the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC) is here to help. Established in 1988, SWANCC is an intergovernmental agency that provides environmentally responsible solutions for the collection, disposal, and recycling of household waste.
As a South Barrington resident, you have access to a wide range of SWANCC programs, events, and educational resources. By clicking here you can find out how to dispose of paint, batteries and other household objects. This is a valuable resource I encourage you to use to ensure the proper disposal of waste.
To dispose of medications, you can visit Walgreens at several locations. They have a drop-off kiosk set up for your convenience. To locate the closest Walgreens to drop off old medications click here.
*Per the Walgreens pharmacist they do not take syringes or loose medications such as insulin.
