The following is an update about the 2024 Village Road Program, provided by A Lamp Concrete Contractors, LLC.  These are the streets scheduled for resurfacing: Beacon Hill Drive, Beechnut Drive, Willow Bay Drive, and Windsor Court.  Access to home driveways will continue throughout the program.  The project timeline is as follows, weather permitting:

• curbs and gutters removed and replaced (6/17 to 7/10)
• surface removal (6/24 to 6/26)
• patching (6/27 to 7/3)
• binding (7/5 to 7/9)
• structure adjustments (7/10 to 7/16)
• surface (7/17 to 7/19)
• pavement markings (7/22)
• landscaping (7/23 to 7/26)
• punch list (7/29 to 7/31)

We have had two lost dogs and found in the past week.  Both dogs were brought to a kennel while waiting to find their owners.   One was returned to their owner due to our Facebook page.   Unfortunately, one remains unclaimed by its owner and is still at the kennel. As a reminder, per the Village’s Municipal Code 5-3-6, pet licenses are required for all dogs and cats three (3) months of age and older. The pet license is good for the lifetime of your pet.  Please bring a completed pet license application available here plus $5.00, cash or check, to Village Hall. Tags are non-transferable and non-refundable.  If you have any questions regarding pet licenses, please call 847-381-7510.  When you register your dog and or cat with the Village, it can aid in reuniting our lost pets with their family.  Please sign up for our Facebook, Instagram, or X (Twitter) page to see the latest.

Residents of the Woods of South Barrington and Village Enclave received notice of required RPZ (Reduced Pressure Zone) device testing with their April water bill.  RPZ backflow prevention devices are designed to stop contamination from getting into the water supply. The IEPA, which monitors water quality, requires RPZ valves be tested at least annually. Only a licensed plumber with a Cross Connection Certification License can test and certify the proper operation of an RPZ valve. Once the valve is tested, the certification paperwork must be forwarded to the Village to keep on file for IEPA compliance.  These reports are due to the Village by Friday, June 28. 

IF you have not had your RPZ tested, or it has been tested and failed, do NOT use your irrigation system until a pass report has been submitted.  If you do not know if your irrigation system passed, contact the business that performed the test before using your system.

The Wickstrom Lincoln Concerts at The Arb hosts the Hillbilly Rockstarz  Wednesday, June 26 at 6:30 p.m. They are one of Chicagoland’s top country bands playing all of your favorite hits from yesterday and today.
