    National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (LEAD) for 2026 falls on Friday, January 9th, an annual observance dedicated to showing support for police officers and recognizing their service, with citizens encouraged to wear blue, thank officers, and support local departments to show gratitude and strengthen community bonds.
