Amusement Taxes

The Village of South Barrington has established a Village Amusement Tax which applies to all events, in South Barrington, where a ticket is paid. Any vendor shall pay to the village an amount equal to forty-five cents ($0.45) for each “paid admission” entering into or upon the property, amusement area, or grounds of the vendor, as defined in Section 3-10-1 of the Village Code of Ordinance.

The amusement tax is in addition to, and not instead of, any other license fees required by the Village Code of Ordinances. All sales tax collected by the Village of South Barrington are remitted to the Illinois Department of Revenue on a monthly basis.
