Road Program 2025

Road construction in our Village is expected to begin on April 28th

The Village has selected Builders Paving, LLC of Hillside, IL for the 20205 Road Paving Program. Paving operations will be performed in the following subdivisions, which include the following streets:

• Bridlewood Subdivision: Bridlewood Trail, Foxshire Court, and Squire Court 
• Forest-Knoll Subdivision: Forest Lane, and Knolling Court
• Easting Way Subdivision: Eastings Way Entrance at Algonquin Road (IL 62)

This 1.6-mile resurfacing project is part of the Village’s continued efforts to improve the infrastructure throughout the community and is funded by local funds provided by the Village of South Barrington.

In accordance with Village Code, normal construction working hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturdays. In addition, a special permit was given to start the spray process at 5 am for 2 or 3 of the days as a means of preventing the sprayed material from being tracked onto driveways by vehicles and into homes by pedestrians. The intent is to have the spraying completed before there is much other activity. We expect the road project to be completed by the beginning of June. 

During construction hours, only one travel lane will be open, and temporary road closures will occur to accommodate moving construction equipment. There will be no detour routes and access to residential driveways will be maintained unless the concrete curb and gutter crossing the driveway entrance is being removed. Residents will receive a 48-hour notice if this is scheduled for their driveway entrance. Please plan for extra travel time during the construction process. Finally, construction noise will be present throughout the construction period. If inclement weather occurs, the project will be extended for completion.
